Fearon Reserve, Williamstown box lacrosse court renewal

In the 2024-25 capital works budget, Hobsons Bay City Council allocated funding to upgrade and renew the box lacrosse training court at Fearon Reserve, Williamstown.

The existing facility is home to the Williamstown Lacrosse Club and Williamstown Women's Lacrosse Club, and is pivotal to the development of the sport within Hobsons Bay. The project will included upgrades to the fencing on the training court to prevent balls from escaping the court, upgrades to the drainage infrastructure, as well as renewal of the playing surface and flood lighting.

The works brought the court up to current standards and help support growing interest and participation in the sport.

Works are now completed with the renew facilities at Williamstown Lacrosse Club at Fearon Reserve. The project included upgrades to the fencing on the training court, improvements to drainage infrastructure, renewal of the training court playing surface and upgrades to floodlighting.
