Usual centre office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.45am to 4.45pm.

Appointments are required to view the rooms available for hire so please call to make an appointment to discuss your event and check availability.

Seabrook Community Centre opened in 2001 and is available for causal and regular hire including regular groups and programs, community groups, meetings and private events. Whether your a community group, business or individual we have meeting and event spaces to meet your needs, with not for profit rates available for those eligible.   

In 2011, with funding from the State Government, Seabrook Kindergarten and Hobsons Bay City Council built a new multipurpose room and associated facilities to meet the needs of increased kindergarten hours and provide for alternative future programs and services.

The Seabrook Community Centre is a family friendly and welcoming space, where people from the local community come to attend programs, services and events, or simply to pop in to see what is on offer in the area.

Features of the centre include:

  • Open, friendly and welcoming spaces with a range of programs, activities, recycling hub and support services
  • Hobsons Bay City Council Immunisation and Maternal and Child Health services
  • Centre community events and celebrations
  • Co-located with the Seabrook Kindergarten offering three-year-old activity group and four-year-old kindergarten
  • Off street parking 
  • Adjacent tennis and basketball courts, park and playground, barbecue and shaded areas, walking distance to shops and bus stop

Bookable Spaces

Multipurpose Rooms 1 and 2

These rooms are designed for multipurpose use and can be hired individually or opened up to be used as one large room. An operable wall separates or joins the two rooms, and each multipurpose room has access to a kitchen/ette, fridge and microwave.

Individually, each room can hold up to:

  • Usually 40 people seated theatre style; or
  • 24 people seated at tables

As a function space, the double room can hold up to 80 people and there are a total of 13 trestle tables and 80 chairs.

Audio Visual Equipment (community room 2 or whole space only)

  • projector
  • automated drop down projector screen
  • laptop connection point
  • iPod/phone audio connection point
  • free wifi

Cottage

This room can be used for a variety of small meetings, training  or activities.

The room seats 16 people, and includes:

  • 4 Trestle tables (Tables can be configured in a range of formats)
  • 16 chairs
  • Carpet
  • Single toilet and washroom
  • Reverse cycle air conditioning
  • Block out blinds

Note: no public wifi is available in this room

This room also has a kitchenette which includes:

  • Mini fridge
  • Microwave
  • Tea and coffee facilities

Consulting Room

This room is suitable for meetings, interviews or professional consulting and can accommodate 4-5 people.
