Cyril Curtain Wetland

Cyril-Curtain-Wetland.jpg

Cyril Curtain Wetland is a small human-made wetland system located between the Williamstown Football Ground and the foreshore.

This wetland is a great example of the diversity of plants that grow well in wet environments and that provide great habitat for a range of invertebrate, bird and frog species. The wetland itself is fenced off and the surrounding area has been planted up with indigenous grassland species such as Calocephalus, Ficinia and Poa with scattered plantings of Allocasuarina (Sheoak) and Banksia trees.

This site has picnic tables and is accessible from the share trail.
