The Melbourne Ballpark (State Baseball and Softball Centre)

The Melbourne Ballpark is home to Baseball and Softball in Victoria, Australia. The Melbourne Ballpark, also known as the State Baseball Softball Centre, is located in Altona, 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD on the West Gate Freeway.

The centre was opened in 1990 and was upgraded in 2012 to coincide with the arrival of the Melbourne Aces (ABL) to the venue. Since the Aces moved to Melbourne Ballpark, Melbourne has hosted the ABL All-Star game three years in row from 2012-2014, leading many to agree that Melbourne Ballpark is the best baseball venue in the country.

The facility includes a main grandstand which seats around 2,200 with approximately one third of them under cover. There are hills down each of the base lines, and a total capacity of just over 5,000. The centre has TV standard lighting and plenty of on-site parking for spectators.
