Newport village is split on either side of Newport Train Station.  On the city bound side of the tracks, along Mason street & Williamstown road, you will find an array of traditional fresh food stores, a supermarket, cafes and services.  This community oriented village also features Newport Library and The Substation. The old substation has been converted into a cutting-edge arts facility and there's always something to see, from markets to visual art to live music performances.

The east side of the tracks, Hall Street features an eclectic selection of boutique retail stores along with hospitality venues and other services.

Tucked away deep into Newport is lesser known Challis Street shops which features beautiful homewares & flowers among other specialty services.

After a day out, enjoy a meal at one of Newport’s many trendy and delicious eateries, all just a short drive or train ride from Melbourne’s CBD.
