Blunt's Boatyard

Since 1858, C. Blunt Boat Builder has seen five generations of boat builders building and restoring all manner of craft, from ship repair timberwork to small classic rowing boats. Still proudly owned and operated by the Blunt family, this historical business is situated on Nelson Place, Williamstown, Victoria, Australia and backs onto Hobson's Bay.

Altona Homestead

The first Homestead in the area served as a residence, holiday house and civic offices for council meetings from 1957 to 1968. Today, it is home to the Altona Laverton Historical Society.

Newport Railway Museum

Woods Street Arts Space

Woods Street Arts Space is a unique artist run initiative in Laverton’s Lohse and Woods Street’s business and creative precinct.

Public Art

Hobsons Bay was an early adopter of a public art strategy, with a number of artworks commissioned including six along the Bay Trail, with a series of markers and interpretive panels that inform and celebrate its physical, cultural and social context.

Boating & Sailing

As the first Port of Melbourne, Williamstown has retained a close link to all things nautical.

Fishing

Hobsons Bay is renowned for its fishing and with two great boat ramps located at Newport and Altona which makes it really easy to get out amongst the snapper, whiting, flathead and squid.

Golf Clubs

With a number of courses located throughout the City, Hobsons Bay is a perfect place to tee off.

Australian Islamic Centre

The Australian Islamic Centre in Newport is a contemporary architectural Australian mosque by Pritzker Architecture Prize–winning architect Glenn Murcutt.
