Stop 2: West Gate Bridge

West Gate Bridge

Arguably the west’s most iconic landmark, the West Gate Bridge is the gateway to the west and a visually spectacular structure that winds itself over the Yarra River. The bridge has an extremely solemn history, and has been polarising for many Melbournians, but it is about time we “reframe” the awe-inspiring bridge and highlight the beautiful and thriving suburbs beyond it.

There are a few great spots along the Yarra to capture this beauty at any time of day - from the jetty near the punt, to the punt itself which will take you underneath the bridge, or the varying angles along the water’s edge.
