Celebrate the start of summer with ALWAYS LIVE End of The Line — a free, family-friendly festival in a relaxed waterfront setting.

Get set for a full afternoon featuring live music from Alex Lahey, EliottMeghna and Philly, plus Hip-Hop workshops from L2R Dance and interactive performances from Kinetic Theatre

Bring a picnic rug and make a date with friends and family to spend the day enjoying the fantastic performances.

Please note this is an alcohol-free event.

FAQs

 

Where and when is the event?

The event will take place on Saturday 9 December at Commonwealth Reserve on Nelson Place in Williamstown.

Entertainment starts at 2pm and runs until 8pm.  

Do I need to book for the event?

This event is free to attend. Bookings are not required.

What is the entertainment?

The event line-up includes live music from headliner Alex Lahey, with support from Philly and Meghna.

There will also be entertainment throughout the day including a Hip Hop workshop with L2R Dance, and roving performances from Kinetic Theatre’s giant Gastropod and Tubby the Robot. 

Who is presenting the event?

End of the Line is presented as part of ALWAYS LIVE 2023, a 17-day state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria. The event is supported by Metro Trains and Hobsons Bay City Council. 

Will food and drinks be available to purchase?

Directly opposite Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown’s Nelson Place offers a wide variety of food and drink options at local restaurants, cafes, pubs and takeaway outlets.

A hydration station will be available at the event for guests to fill up their own water bottles. 

What should I bring?

We all know Melbourne weather can be unpredictable!

This is an outdoor, daytime event so please keep an eye on the forecast and dress appropriately for the conditions and bring sun protection.

You’re also welcome to pack a picnic and set up on the grass during the day (please no alcohol). 

How do I get there?

Commonwealth Reserve is located a short walk (10 minutes) from Williamstown train station, and the route will be signposted. Metro Trains staff will be available to assist with directions to the event on the day.

Car parking in the surrounding streets is extremely limited, and where possible, we strongly encourage catching public transport, cycling along the Bay Trail or walking to the event. 

Is alcohol permitted?

The consumption of alcohol is not permitted in Commonwealth Reserve. 

Will the event be called off if it’s raining?

This is an outdoor event and in the case of heavy rain or dangerous weather, the event may need to be cancelled in the lead up to, or on the day of the event. Please check the event webpage for more information, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates. 

Is there medical help available if I need it?

There will be a certified First Aid provider on site at the event. 

Accessibility information

The event space is within Commonwealth Reserve with large, grassed areas and connecting gravel paths.

Accessible toilets are available at the venue.
