Permanent Victorian drop-off sites for paint and other products

Household paint, batteries, fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps can be disposed of throughout the year at any of the 30 permanent Victorian drop-off sites.

It is free for householders to use a permanent drop-off site. To find your nearest permanent drop-off site, opening times, what is accepted and how to use the service visit Sustainability Victoria's website.

Trade waste paint is not accepted. Trade painters should contact Paintback to find their nearest drop-off site.

Paintback is an industry program available to householders and professional painters to dispose of unwanted paint and packaging correctly with the aim of keeping this waste out of landfill. Paintback Ltd, an independent, not-for-profit organisation, is establishing 70 collection points Australia-wide over the next two to three years commencing from May 2016, starting with 12 in capital cities.

More information including your nearest drop-off points and types of paint accepted can be accessed from the Paintback website.
