Tatman Reserve Stage 2 Upgrade

Hobsons Bay City Council is pleased to announce the upcoming construction of Stage 2 upgrade works at Tatman Reserve, Altona Meadows.

As part of Stage 2 works, we will be installing a universally accessible flying fox, extending the shared concrete path, installing a half basketball court and planting new trees (see Image 1).

Works are scheduled to begin early-to-mid May and will be completed late June/early July, weather permitting.

History

As part of the open space upgrades, a drop-in-session for the Tatman Reserve upgrade took place on 16 December 2017 where Council officers met with local residents about their ideas on improving the park.

Following this, a shared vision and draft concept plan for the future park improvements was developed, in consultation with the community.

In 2018, Tatman Reserve the Stage 1 upgrade works were constructed. As part of these works, the playspace was upgraded with additional equipment; BBQ with seating, picnic settings and shelter; bike racks and a drinking fountain (see Image 2 and Image 3).
