Victoria’s 6th lockdown extended and Council services
The Williamstown Mechanics Institute, one of Williamstown’s most significant public buildings with a construction history that began in 1860, is today home to the Williamstown Historic Museum, the Williamstown Film Society and the Williamstown Musical Theatre Company.
Investigation and rectification works are taking place as part of future restoration planning.
From time to time, scaffolding and localised work areas will be in effect around the building. Please excuse any inconvenience while this important work is being undertaken.
As a pre-cursor to a full restoration program, foundation inspection works on the property and along the Electra avenue facade will commence next week including CCTV inspections of the buildings stormwater system.
