Hobsons Bay schools, children and their families are invited to celebrate National Reconciliation Week ( 27 May - 3 June) with 'More than a word', by participating in this creative program inspired by Dean Stewart’s Lost Lands Found project in Altona.
We ask kids to encourage their adults to support them make artwork responding to the natural landscape of Hobsons Bay, from the indigenous flowering grasslands to the bugs and animals that would have inhabited this landscape prior to the colonial settler.
Learn about the local history of the marbled gecko, tall daisy, jumping spider and sheeps burr to name a few, through creativity and fun!
Take a photo of your artwork and share it on Instagram with the #lostlandsfoundcreativeprogram or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
