Would you like know how to help your child on their reading journey?

Are you interested in learning more about Decodable Readers? Are you concerned about your child's reading level?

We are inviting parents and carers to a 'literacy check in' before the summer holidays. The BIG Summer Read is a campaign that aims to prevent the 'summer slide' often experienced by children learning to read and write.

The BIG Summer Read encourages children to log the books they read over summer, offering prizes to the children that read the most books. Literacy specialist Nicole Case will run a special workshop designed to empower parents and carers to propel their child's literacy skills forward.

The workshops will support those children who are just beginning their reading journey, including those who are reluctant readers. Bring your children! In addition to Nicole Case's workshop, we will provide a hands-on activity to engage your little ones.

At the end of the session, our librarians will support those interested to sign up to the BIG Summer Read.
