Airtime Rotation 27 - Mesh Mash x Green Collect

MicrosoftTeams-image (1).png

Airtime is a temporary public art project that highlights the creative talents of young people in Hobsons Bay on a rotational basis. Artworks are reproduced and printed on large flags and exhibited for an approximate three-month period on the Altona Meadows flag poles located at the Queen Street Skate Park.

Between September and November 2021, Airtime Rotation 27 showcases artworks and designs submitted by young people to the 2020 and 2021 Mesh Mash x Green Collect notebook competition. Selected artworks from  the competitions are reproduced onto repurposed notebooks and tote bags available for purchase from both enterprises.

Mesh Mash and Green Collect started a partnership in 2017. Mesh Mash is a print and design based social enterprise based in Laverton that provides creative pathways and employment opportunities for young people aged 12-25. Green Collect’s ethos is finding the best environmental outcome for a large range of hard-to-recycle items from the office and home. Services also focus on generating work for people who have previously faced barriers to employment.
