Airtime is an ephemeral public art project that highlights the creative talents of young people in Hobsons Bay. Artworks are reproduced and printed on large flags and exhibited above the Queen Street Skate Park in Altona Meadows. Each series of Airtime artworks is curated under different themes.   For its 24th rotation, lyrics from songs written by VU music students for the Art & Industry Festival’s ‘Song Series’ Concert event, will fly high in the sky on the Airtime flag poles.

Airtime is produced and managed by Hobsons Bay City Council through Arts and Culture.

20 – 29 November 2020

The 2020 Art & Industry Festival, a creative collaboration between Hobsons Bay City Council and Donna Jackson’s Hubcap Productions celebrates local life, art and our ever-changing industrial and manufacturing heartland.

Audiences are encouraged audiences to consider differently, the place they call home, to be a reminded of the authentic history of the area and to support our younger community who are exploring art and design.

The biennial Festival encourages innovative partnerships between community groups, local government, industries, unions and small businesses and has pioneered a new model of festival in which industrially enthused artists and residents of Hobsons Bay actively participate.
