| Ongoing drought and mandatory water restrictions have increased community awareness about water scarcity.
As a result, many members of our community are taking positive steps to reduce their impact on a scarce resource. Water tanks have become a popular method of water capture and storage within Hobsons Bay.
This policy will help those lessees and licensees of Council owned property make better informed decisions about installing a water tank at their facility.
The accompanying guidelines will guide the decisions made by the Council about where and when it is appropriate to install a water tank at Council owned facilities.
