| Altona Safe Harbour Dredging Update - August/September 2009 | | The Altona Safe Harbours annual maintenance dredging commenced on Wednesday, 12th August and will finish on Friday, 25th September 2009, weather permitting.
All ramps will be operational during the dredging inside the Harbour, the Harbour channels and long the east and west rock walls. However, all ramps will be closed during the dredging of the Harbour entrance. Boat owners are to observe all signals displayed on the dredger.
The spoil will be disposed of in the intertidal zone of Burns Reserve, approximately 500 metres east of the Harbour's entrance. Please use caution during the dredging and disposal works.

Regular users are encouraged to purchase an annual season ticket which is available from Council.
There is heavy demand for both ramps during peak periods and access cannot be guaranteed.
Parking is provided for vehicles and boat trailers. Parking restrictions within these carparks and in surrounding areas are strictly enforced.
