Hobsons Bay Draft Water Plan The Council has developed a draft Water Plan 2009-2014. This plan outlines the Council’s water priorities and goals for the next five years, and sets clear reduction targets for the Council by 2015 and the wider community by 2020.
Power Up With Solar Would you like to make your own clean, green electricity on your roof? The Council is facilitating a bulk purchasing program for solar panels to assist residents in Hobsons Bay to reduce their household's greenhouse gas emissions.
Healthy and Sustainable Gardens Program Residents are invited to take part in the Metropolitan Waste Management Group’s (MWMG) Healthy Sustainable Gardens Program which promotes the sale of recycled mulch and compost collected from residents’ green waste bins, from Saturday, 14th February to Monday, 13th April.
Clean Up Australia Day 2009 A Success The Council would like to thank all the volunteers, including our staff members and councillors, who supported Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, 1st March. This year a record 17 sites were registered and together we collected over 66 cubic metres of litter, making our environment a much nicer place to live and visit.

Calling All Plumbers in Hobsons Bay The Council will be hosting two free green plumbers workshops on 22nd and 23rd April. Based on the internationally-acclaimed MPMSAA GreenPlumbers initiative, the workshops are designed to train plumbers in Melbourne's west the principles of water efficient technology.
