The $11.55 million BayFit Leisure Centre development is Hobsons Bay City Council’s largest ever capital works project.

Seabrook Community Centre

Lowering its environmental impact

In 2008, Hobsons Bay City Council committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2020 and to helping the community become carbon neutral by 2030.

The Seabrook Community Centre is showing us how this can be done by transforming into a show case for green living in Hobsons Bay.

The centre has had a green retrofit and combined with the efforts of the centres' users to keep environmental impacts low, the new features will, over time, lead to a decrease in the water use, greenhouse pollution and waste generated by the centre.
