The mouth of Kororoit Creek opens into Port Phillip Bay at Maddox Road in Williamstown North and spans the coastal trail up to Racecourse Road, Altona.
This section of the trail follows Kororoit Creek and connects up to the Altona Coastal Park.
Recreational Activities and Facilities
Formerly the site of the Williamstown Racecourse 1864-1940 parts of the Altona Coastal Park have been extensively modified by land filling and site development.
Altona Coastal Park now forms an important component of wetlands for waterbirds, and provides opportunities for cycling, walking and outdoor educational experiences.
