Photo competition - #OurBiodiverseCity

For our very first Instagram competition, we asked you to connect with nature by taking a photo in Hobsons Bay of your favourite native plant or native animal. You then had to upload the photo with the hashtags #OurBiodiverseCity and #WED2017. Well, we received 65 entries... and from those 65, our conservation team shortlisted the ten finalists below.

So who won? Well, the two winners were announced at Council's World Environment Day celebrations on 5 June at Scienceworks Spotswood - and a third prize was awarded to a "people's choice". Find out the winners, who each received $100 gift vouchers for the Newport Lakes Native Nursery, by scrolling to the bottom of this page.
