Strategic Bicycle Plan
The key objective of the Strategic Bicycle Plan is to promote cycling within Hobsons Bay as a safe and healthy activity by developing a highly connective network of on and off-road bicycle routes as well as a range of education, promotion and enforcement initiatives.
This Strategic Bicycle Plan builds on the recommendations developed as part of the Hobsons Bay Mobility and Transport Strategy, Hobsons Bay Road Safety Strategy and the previous bicycle strategies developed for the former cities of Altona, Williamstown, Footscray and Werribee.
Sustainable Transport
Sustainable transport, also known as active transport, includes forms of transport that have less impact on the environment, economy and society than single occupancy driving.
