Environmental Strategies and Plans

The Council has adopted a number of strategies and plans for all aspects of environmental management. These strategies include actions for the Council, advocacy for other government agencies and actions for the local community.

Environment Strategy 2006 - 2010

The Environment Strategy sets out actions to achieve a desired vision - where local biodiversity and open space will be conserved and treasured; where the use of water, energy and the production of waste is minimised by residents and industry; and where respect and care for the environment underpin our community's way of life.

Corporate Greenhouse Strategy 2013-2020

The Corporate Greenhouse Strategy 2013-2020 provides the framework for the Council to become carbon neutral in its operations by 2020 and to assist our community to be carbon neutral by 2030.
