Western Suburbs Triathlon Club - Australia Day Triathlon

The Western Suburbs Triathlon Club will be hosting an adults and children’s triathlon on the Esplanade, Altona. The adult race will start at 7.00am, and the children’s triathlon will follow, finishing at approximately 12.00pm. For set up and safety reasons, roads will be closed to all traffic, other than local traffic, as follows:

Road closures:  6.00am to 10.00am: Adults Triathlon

Esplanade, between Maidstone Street and Civic Parade (Adults Triathlon)

10.00am to 12.00pm (noon): Children’s Triathlon

Esplanade, between Pier Street and Millers Road

 

Australia Day in Altona

The Altona Village Traders Association will hold its annual Australia Day event.  The event is centred around Logan Reserve, Weaver Reserve, Pier Street between Esplanade and Blyth Street and will take place from 11.00am until 10.00pm. To manage the expected attendance of around 12,000 the following road closures are in place.

Road closures:   8.00am to 10.30pm

Esplanade between McBain Street and Bent Street

Pier Street between the Esplanade and Blyth Street

Queen Street between Sargood Street and Bent Street

Sargood Street between the Esplanade and Queen Street.
