Do you have an idea that you would like Council to fund in its 2017-18 Budget? Or do you have a suggestion for where and what Council should focus on over the next four years?
Hobsons Bay City Council is hosting three community information sessions where you can tell us what Council's priorities for the Council Plan 2017-21 should be, or suggest an idea to be funded in the 2017-18 budget by making a three minute presentation of your idea to your Councillors.
Mayor of Hobsons Bay Cr Sandra Wilson said the community feedback was vital in shaping how Council allocated its budget and ensure we are working to address community needs and the high standard that the community expects and deserves.
“Have we got it right? Is there anything missing? This is your chance to have your say or ask for funding,” said Cr Wilson.
“As well as the budget, we are keen for the community to have input on what we should be putting into action over the next four years.”
The sessions are:
- Monday 5 December from 6pm to 8pm at the Laverton Community Hub, 95-105 Railway Avenue, Laverton
- Thursday 8 December from 6pm to 8pm at the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre, 115 Civic Parade, Altona
- Monday 12 December from 6pm to 8pm at the Newport Community Hub, 13-17 Mason Street, Newport
RSVP for the sessions close four days prior to each session. Register at participate.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au, email email@example.com or call 9932 1000. Pre-registration is required to make a three-minute presentation.
