Wynbay Football Team
Reclink Football League
The Wynbay Power Football team is a team combined of players from across Wyndham and Hobsons Bay. The team plays in the Reclink Football League, which was established by Reclink Australia to assist disadvantaged people in accessing sporting and recreational activities, and increase the ability for people to reconnect with the mainstream community.
The aim of the program is to create an inclusive team where everyone is welcome, and the players and supporters to feel like they belong. Being a member of the team also gives players access to services, support, and every opportunity to succeed in their future.
The team is coached by Leading Senior Constable Scott Sutton, Hobsons Bay Youth Resource Officer. Support for the team comes from a broad range of community agencies including Hobsons Bay and Wyndham Youth Services, Latitude: Directions for young people, Werribee Salvation Army, Werribee Junior Amateur Football Club and Werribee Football club and many other agencies and other individuals.
The team trains and play on alternating Wednesdays, with the home ground for the Wynbay Power Football Team at Soldiers Reserve, Werribee.
Wynbay Bulldogs have had fantastic previous seasons with players participating in leadership programs and attending sessions with guest speakers and workshops on personal development and leadership. The team played every game with true RecLink spirit and encouraged players from both teams.
