Sport and Recreation for People with a Disability

Access For All Abilities Program

The Hobsons Bay Access for All Abilities Officer works with local sport and recreation providers, to increase the number of opportunities for people with a disability to participate in local sport and recreation. Mums, dads, kids, families, friends, seniors, carers, clubs, sporting associations, leisure centres and disability groups can also get involved. Not only are there health and wellbeing benefits but there are opportunities to meet new people, improve skills, have fun, or build a sporting career. The Access for All Abilities Program is a Victorian Government initiative co-ordinated by Sport and Recreation Victoria. Funding is provided by the Department of Planning and Community Development and Hobsons Bay City Council.
