Hobsons Bay Multicultural Advisory Group
The Hobsons Bay City Council Multicultural Advisory Group (MAG) was formed in 2001 as part of the Council’s commitment to strengthen its capacity to address issues of its Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
Selected individuals with extensive interest and involvement in local multicultural community affairs and genuine desire to support CALD communities in Hobsons Bay are appointed to the MAG for a two year term.
The key aim of the MAG is to continue to provide culturally appropriate advice and recommendations on various aspects of the Council policies, programs and services as they relate to CALD community issues, and to ensure that these issues are represented and addressed appropriately by the Council.
The establishment of the MAG will also assist to implement the Council’s Multicultural Policy 2012-2015 and support achievements of several key strategic objectives outlined in the Council Plan 2009-2013.
A new two year term for the MAG began in 2012. The following MAG members were appointed for the current term:

The group meets quarterly from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre in Altona.
