Playgroups provide parents and children with the opportunity to meet new families, gain support, share ideas and have fun. They allow babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers the opportunity to socialise as they play and learn together. All playgroups are different but the emphasis is on fun and friendship.

Council runs several Supported playgroups throughout the municipality, led by specially trained and qualified playgroup leaders. At these groups families will have an opportunity to learn new ideas for their children's learning and development, meet other parents and carers and provide an opportunity for children to play with others. Additional support and information is also available for families.
