Computers for community groups

Hobsons Bay City Council invites not-for-profit, volunteer and community organisations either based in the City of Hobsons Bay or services the Hobsons Bay community to apply for up to 110 former Council owned HP desktop computers, monitors, keyboards and mouse. These computers are four to five years old and are all in very good condition. The computers will be available for collection from the Council offices at 115 Civic Parade, Altona on the week commencing 13 February 2017. Please note there is no operating system or software programs included on any of the computers.  Council takes no responsibility for any faults, breakages, ongoing maintenance or repairs of the computers once they are acquired. 

In order to successfully acquire a/some computer(s), you must provide clear evidence that demonstrates the community benefits below.

  • How do these computers benefit residents in Hobsons Bay? and
  • How will contribute to an inclusive, resilient and healthy community in Hobsons Bay?

The closing date for applications is 5.00 pm on Friday 3 February 2017.  A review panel will be convened to assess all applications against the above criteria.  Depending on the number and quality of submissions, applicants may receive all, a proportion, or not any of the computers requested.

Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 13 February 2017.
