The Council's Public Health Unit provides information and advice on pest control, including:
- Animals - e.g. rats, mice, snakes etc.
- Insects - e.g. cockroaches, spiders, bees, wasps, fleas etc.
Pests can be brought in for identification and advice can be provided on measures to get rid of and control particular pests.
The Public Health Unit also investigates complaints of pest infestations. Reports of pest problems can only be investigated where there is a potential source attracting pests and not where they are part of the natural environment.
