Paisley Park Newport
Paisley Park includes land in the north west corner formerly known as P.J Lynch Reserve where BayFit Leisure Centre is located.
Paisley Park is the major sporting park in Hobsons Bay and includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, golf course, premier league soccer facility, bowling club, badminton centre, miniature railway and lacrosse fields.
Paisley Park also provides habitat for the endangered Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor).
The Council took possession of the site in 1980 which was formerly the State Electricity Commission of Victoria's briquette depot.
Paisley Park is in Mason Street, Newport on the corner of Mills Street, approximately 800 metres east of Millers Road and approximately two kilometres west of Melbourne Road. Melway: 55 B4.
