Hobsons Bay City Council and Scienceworks Museum invite you to a special World Environment Day event ‘Connecting people to nature.’
This event is free and canapés and drinks will be served.
Connecting people to nature - Museum Victoria Curator Kate Phillips will explore this year’s World Environment Day theme
Connecting with our Earth - Jamie Marloo Thomas of Wayapa Wurrk will share Indigenous knowledge
Our Living Climate – a Planetarium show will reveal the challenges of a changing climate
There will be an opportunity to engage with environmental groups in Hobsons Bay, learn about Council’s commitment to the international Compact of Mayors (the world’s largest cooperative effort committed to Sustainable Cities), the launch of the 2018 Environmental Grants and view the winners of the photo competition showing the unique flora and fauna of Hobsons Bay.
You must register as there is limited seating. Registrations close on Friday 2 June. Food served will have vegan and gluten free options.
