Discovering the Sons of Williamstown: A Labour of Love
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Williamstown Town Hall, 104 Ferguson Street , Williamstown
Of the 1,800 Williamstown men who enlisted during WW1, 265 would give their lives. In 1917, on behalf of the people of Williamstown, Councillor William Henderson collected portraits of each and every one of those men. The result was an extraordinary honour board, a testament to Henderson’s dedication to this task and a moving tribute to the sons of Williamstown. Join us at Williamstown Town Hall to find out more about this unique memorial and the stories behind it.
