Clean Up Australia Day
You can make a positive difference by lending a hand on Sunday 5 March 2017.
Over the last 26 years volunteers have donated more than 31 million hours and removed more than 331,000 tonnes of rubbish from streets, beaches, parks and waterways.
Register a site for 2017
Step one - register a site, visit Clean Up Australia Day or call 1800 CUA DAY (1800 282 329). (Clean Up Australia sends bags, gloves and other equipment directly by post, but it can take up to 2 weeks for these to arrive.)
Step two - once you've registered your site with Clean Up Australia, you need to contact Council to arrange a rubbish pick up from your site.
Alternatively, you can volunteer at a site that is already registered. Visit the Clean Up Australia Day website to see a map of local clean up events in your area.
Business Clean Up Day
By participating in Business Clean Up Day on Tuesday 28 February 2017, you are doing your part to promote a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. It's also a fantastic way to be seen as a community leader and engage with your staff, customers and local community. Previous Business Clean Up Day's have proven to be excellent team building events and great for staff morale.
Businesses can register for Business Clean Up Day at Clean Up Australia Day to clean up and conserve their local environment, either at their own workplace or further afield.
Schools Clean Up Day
Since 1992, school communities across Australia have demonstrated their support for caring for the environment through participating in Schools Clean Up Day. The next Schools Clean Up Day is on Friday 3 March 2017.
Your School can participate by registering at Clean Up Australia Day. You will receive a School's Clean Up Kit and a Site Guide for information on how to prepare your event.
